It is a conversation with 85 year old Professor Roger Short who talks of his life and work, including 40+ years of pioneering Elephant research. We learn what initially inspired him to take up a life of scientific discovery, as well as some dire warnings and potential breakthroughs on the future of elephants. The release of the film comes amid the rapidly escalating endangerment of elephant populations across the world. Subject Films has partnered with ‘Elephants without Borders’ to provide an avenue of action to support elephants. Subjects Films produces video portraits, that capture stories from lifetimes of discovery and adventure.
